DMX over CAT is an analogue solution for getting 4 DMX over 1 Cat ethernet cable, which is not to be confused with digital solutions such as Dante. (See *Limitations for details.)

To utilize ‘DMX Over Cat’ you will need three things…

1. Female ‘Satellite’ box or ‘Cat Adapter’
2. Cat network cable or reel
3. Male ‘Satellite’ box or ‘Cat Adapter’ or ‘DMXoC Patchbay’

*Limitations

• Only compatible with shielded network cables with an RJ45 or Ethercon connector. They will not work with un-shielded cables. We recommend Van Damme Flexi, featured below.
• These products should not be connected into LAN or ethernet routers or switches!
