New Fluke LinkIQ Cat Verifier

Its no secret that networks are fiddly, with limitations on length, and varying performance of the different cable types. With data cables now being commonplace in Audio, Video, Lighting, and often the backbone of an event, receiving cables from your supplier that have worked in the real world is a must. Basic continuity testing of data cables and relying on manufactures guidelines is not enough. In our permanent quest to improve on what we do, we decided to improve our testing rig by employing a Fluke LinkIQ verifier. We can now verify that our Cat5e, Cat6 and Cat6a cables perform to the requirements of ISO/IEC 11801, at the lengths we state. All our cables now go through a thorough 'real world' test before dispatch. We use 'Verification' for short patch leads, and 'Verification' & 'Live Testing' for any cables over 40m, including reel-systems.

We have designed a performance report for all the data cables that we stock, detailing their reliability to faithfully carry the advertised signal at various lengths. We now offer 'Cat Repeaters' and 'PoE injectors' for long cable runs. These are also detailed on the chart. We can now reliably design network setups that can faithfully carry Cat5e up to 500m.
